Don't turn your head. Keep looking at the bandaged place. That's where the light enters you. Rumi
I offer stress management coaching that is an integration of the following mind-body approaches:
Emotional Freedom Techniques An Energy Medicine technique designed to rebalance the energy system and reduce emotional stress. EFT is a type of "emotional acupressure", that helps clients lessen the intensity of emotional suffering (due to both current and past events) by lightly tapping on various traditional Chinese acupuncture points.
Matrix Reimprinting Matrix Reimprinting is an advanced form of EFT that safely and gently connects people to their past painful life experiences and core beliefs, and effectively guides them to transform these experiences into supportive platforms for their lives.
Mindfulness Practices Mindfulness is a form of attention training that helps focus awareness in the present moment in a relaxed, alert and nonjudgmental way. Built into a daily routine of self-care, mindfulness techniques help to lessen emotional reactivity, and improve the ability to deal effectively with life challenges.
Yoga Nidra Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that uses a combination of intention-setting, guided body scan, breath work and imagery as gateways to reducing mental, emotional and physical tensions. Practiced consistently over time, Yoga Nidra provides a way to reduce stress and anxiety, and increase the capacity to be less driven by emotional thinking and behavior. With decreased emotional reactivity, also comes more clarity of thought, capacity for problem-solving and an enhanced ability to better respond to life's challenges.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy MBCT utilizes mindfulness practices to identity and work through "stuck points" in thinking that develop over time as a result of painful life experiences, effect emotions and impact understanding of current life situations.
Mindful Self-Compassion MSC practices help individuals turn toward their emotional and physical pain with kindness and understanding; laying the groundwork for more emotional resilience, stability and enhanced problem-solving.
Internal Family Systems Therapy IFS is based on the concept that we all have various "parts" of our personality that, under stress, struggle with one another, keeping us trapped in our emotional suffering.
("There's one part of me that is excited about this new relationship, but another part of me that's having second thoughts.")
The goal of IFS is to help a client work with these individual "parts" in such a way that internal conflicts are minimized and the individual is able to identify the best path forward. IFS work is a very mindful, intuitive and client-led process.
